Project Hineini

Unveiling Hineini - an ongoing revelation within the continuous search.

Hineini!

What’s it mean? How did it come about? What’s your story? Here goes one version of it :)

After quite the journey of hearing the call of the shofar and finding Home, I found myself asking “What now?”

Baruch Hashem, I found myself in Israel again, this time on my honeymoon in Tzfat. walking those old ancient streets after spending a warm shabbat in Jerusalem, My wife and I were browsing different art galleries and I happened to see this little piece that was a perfect gift for one of my teachers I was going to visit. It was this little wall-art with Hineini written on it. (I'm sure there’s a picture of it floating around on this site somewhere) I intuitively knew it was for her. She warmly accepted and left me with this little prayer as was her way of sprinkling wisdom.

“Here I am, Lord. Is that you Lord? I’m hearing your calling in the dark. I’ll go, Lord, if you want me, And I’ll hold your people in my heart.”

By the time I was on the flight back to NY, I had made up my mind that whatever I do next will bear the title Hineini.

Funny enough, 6 months later, at the first Hineini 4-Day, a staff member was kind enough to gift me with that same art piece straight from Tzfat!

BH, That’s the simple story…

Let’s take a deeper breath,

From there emerged the deeper ocean I swim in, and with Siyata DIshmaya a labor of love.

Here I am.

Let’s remember some of our shared history,

  • Avraham Avinu answers Hineini when he is asked and tasked to do the impossible.

  • It is the first recorded word between the first jew, and the first-born jew, Yitzchak calls out “"My father!" And Avraham said, "Here I am, my son."

  • It is also the answer Avraham knows to give the angel when he was called.

  • It is the answer of Moshe Rabeinu when he was being called to task to usher in the redemption.

Hineini seems to be this answer that bridges Avraham and Gd, Father & son, man & divine intervention.

According to Rashi, Hineini is the reply of the pious. It is an expression of humility and an expression of readiness.

So we see that Hineini is this bridge when we are being asked to move past a comfort zone and maybe being asked to sacrifice our most precious gifts to align us for a higher purpose. Hineini will always remind us that we play a role in Higher Purpose.

For me, Hineini emerged from a place of seeking, the workshops have been blessed with a sense of wholehearted commitment to being fully engaged, present, and open to the unfolding journey ahead.

My journey with "Hineini" evolved into a transformative experience—a dedication to further helping individuals step into their authenticity, enabling a profound shift towards personal growth, resilience, and fulfillment.

So what now ? ;)
